@drak Intriguing. I suppose the fun part of etymology is that at a certain point, it becomes a sort of "choose your own adventure" thing. It's also interesting to look at the roots of words as they're combined and passed through different cultures because it shows you how those cultures think, to a certain extent. Sometimes, there's no disambiguation between ideas that we might consider completely separate, and when we try to interpret them, we get multiple meanings, where originally, those meanings might have been combined as a single concept.
