@dougsportazine A lot of it can be mechanized away, but much of it is human-interaction. As anyone who's been through one of those voice-prompting systems knows, # do not do customer-oriented # interaction very well. (Which could be why @x11r5's # campaign hasn't gotten vote 1 yet. But that's a different @question.)

Anyway, I found during my college years that working in "quickserve restaurants" was more difficult work than digging up and potting trees in triple-digit heat (and required more customer service skill than my current customer-oriented job, though I got a fraction of the pay I get today).
