Last Saturday I think I understood exactly why #Apple wants to do away with the headphone jack: Their software sucks.

An enduser was trying to do something so silly as using a video output adapter (HDMI) and simultaneously play audio. I'm assuming the audio came through HDMI, but apparently you couldn't get any audio from the headphone jack. Also, any settings/configuration menu is far too advanced for any Apple user.
