     @mk better avoid blackbox RAID/NAS boxes. I once tried reading disks from a Seagate NAS: out of luck. They use nested LVMs, etc.

     @mcscx I'm not looking for a NAS, just a RAID box. I was successful reading from one of the disks from the old one - at least after pulling the data off of it with ddrescue; that was Fantec and I repaired disks before from it pulling…
