     Something I've seen on Twitter that might be considered rude in places without the 140 character limit: Someone wants to make a point, so they @ message someone several times (like 10 times) with portions of their overall message until it is completed.

     Sometimes I see people go on entire rants this way. They'll lecture for something like 20 or more posts. At least then it isn't directed at anyone in particular. But my own feeling is that this isn't what people who sign up for Twitter signed up for.
