   @zoowar Well the problem is that staying with https requires admins of other instances to do database tweaking. My preferred option is a "scripts/instance_upgraded_to_tls.php" script.

     @lnxw48 I think !gs needs to update its subscription records if it sees a 301 redirect. @mmn indicated this is the case in newer versions.

     @windigo So I'll update before I touch the database. Has anyone tried to contact @fo0bar, the #botmeister of @x11r5? #TLS-enabled posting could be a simple patch.
