   wow! Same phenomenon here in this case. The only valid reason would be if 1 of Owen's comnts is not Public,so you only see if logged in

     @heluecht while AFAIK you cant set separate permissions for comments on Web, perhaps Owen Shepard can do this w/ Impeller. He's the dev

     @larjona in this thread @heluecht showed he misses comments on Hotpump,but sometimes Hotpump shows more comments than note poster's instance

     @larjona I also noticed a discrepancy in the number at "Show all n replies" but @heluecht's screenshots show not everybody gets all comments
