   software provided with #trisquel 6 (LTS) are older than #debian 7.2 It must be the same with Ubuntu LTS. I am still stuck with GIMP 2.6 :-/ Debian has 2.8

     @xrevan86 I am reluctant to add ubuntu ppas as they might contain non-free stuff. Going to see if I can build it from source.

     I *was* on #trisquel 6. (Yes, you can say it's Ubuntu) But right now, I am not. Just moved to #debian . :) http://micro.fragdev.com/url/55206

     Yeah, should get them and do some tweaking. I just installed from the live dvd, and this is the default.

     after 5 days I moved back to #trisquel :) I don't think I'm missing much with GIMP 2.6. Only big thing I noticed about 2.8 is the single window mode. cc @xrevan86
