@drak because, as I explained to Evan, 'note' is far less precise than 'notice'; it doesn't have the 'publishing' connotation that notice has, for instance. You can make a note on a page in a book, or on note paper.

@mk I'd suggest we stick to Dent, next best choice to me is Post. Just let's stick to a 4-letter word, or shorter ;-)

@mcscx I agree that Post is usable, too - it works as a verb as well as a noun, and has the same 'publishing' connotation 'notice' has (which 'Note' doesn't) but is shorter.
