   Dear !fediverse, is there any point in upgrading from StatusNet 1.1.0 to GNUSocial yet?

     You'd better upgrade to either #statusnet 1.1.1 (or #gnusocial ) if you haven't already addressed the security issues mentioned here http://status.net/2013/07/16/security-alert-sql-injection-attack-for-statusnet-1-0-x-and-1-1-x

     @lg Yeah, I patched that as soon as I heard of it. So is there no other benefit? What about running from git?

     Plenty of new and updated features. Like patched #xmpp daemon :) But I would not suggest to update to latest code right now, because there is a problem with #xmpp daemon.

     @erkanyilmaz It wasn’t so much about features, more security and stability.
