   @zykotick9 try exporting your data from your current site to another, and you will know what I mean. This is just like #facebook . Site admins can sell the stuff to whoever they want.

Have a look at this (scroll down for presentation video): http://sockethub.org/ and then (he mentions it) http://remotestorage.io/ - I think this separation in development of different 'layers' that can just be plugged together holds real promise; the socketHub presentation really inspired me!
