“IRC: It’s like hackers talk when they do not want to be overheard” … “can we get a screenshot?” (suspense!) — /me looks at the #freenet channel-logs… http://sn.jonkman.ca/notice/145329

“wait, I did not set a shortcut for that!” M-& import /tmp/screenshot.png <click> ← the shiny! Now reboot. (because, you know, we never do that, except when you look over our shoulder. We have channel-logs…) !emacs

I've watched at least two seasons of Numb3rs, maybe more. Aside from the terrible IRC metaphor, I got thoroughly annoyed at the strong-arm tactics of the FBI agents "Better let us search your house without a warrant if you know what's good for you". But I did enjoy the math when they took the time to explain it properly. #ImAMathWeenie ♻ @steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net Did you watch all of this series? It's unwise to judge it based on one short snippet. Numb3rs does a very good job of making math, physics, and computing exciting in a specific context (disentangling a crime). I had colleagues who consulted on the show; they did a good job, but nothing is ever perfect.
