     @stwn wow,what a difference between google's & OpenStreetMap's map of Ramallah.I hope OSM's licence keeps Google from just taking this data

     I’d wish, the data would get so valuable, that Google would free all its maps to be able to use Open Street Map. Free (and copyleft) breeds Free.

     @drak I'd also like if Google would free their data, but reality eg. w/Apple is, they take free works of others and don't give sth back

     @stwn Apple happily includes freely licenced software from BSD and GPL but disallows GPL software in their Appstore.

     @mcscx #Apple used #KHTML under #GPL to create #Webkit. Webkit is still free (had to be) - and look how free browsers thrive now.

     @mcscx I have no sympathy for BSD folks complaining about #Apple: BSD licenses says, taking is OK, so don’t complain if people do that.

     @mcscx anyone can do anything with the data from #OpenStreetMap, but must comply with its license. Some data are under public domain though
