     I'm amazed at how rude people can be on public projects. I suppose some level of anonimity brings out the worst in people.

     Anonymity brings benefits too; people are usually more honest with doctors over the internet rather than in person. In cases like these though, anonymity pretty much allows otherwise fake people to be 'genuine' without having to learn the ropes first, so to speak.

     The folks on github do not really have anonymity, so that point does not fit. If you want to see anonymous people, check freenetproject.org
