   next up: #breakfast. after that: rob old computer of HDs and other possibly usable components so I can put it out for recycling... (if even one of those HDs is still readable it may still have some useful data yet)

     @mk CD-ROM drive and Floppy drive are out - that was easy; HD drive sits in a cage and the only way to reach its mounting screws is to first take the whole cage ut of the case - done...

     @mk this is all solid 1996 technology; HD is out: it's a WD Caviar, 2.1 GB (dated '18 APR 96') - it lasted till some time after 2001 :)
