I disagree /w @CIRA001:"the United States government has unilaterally invalidated the argument that the Internet must remain free and open for the good of the global community". No, that argument has not been invalidated just because the US has violated our trust and !privacy. A free and open Internet is still vital. http://blog.cira.ca/2013/08/the-internet-as-we-know-it-is-dead/ !surveillance

I also disagree with @CIRA001's whole premise that "The Internet as we know it is dead." The Internet is pretty much the same as it was before #Snowden's revelations; we just know a little bit more about the actvities of our governments. That knowledge will help us keep (or restore) the Internet free and open. http://blog.cira.ca/2013/08/the-internet-as-we-know-it-is-dead/ !fr33dom

♻ @ByTortweet I believe the premise is that the US's core argument to maintain the multistakeholder model has been obliterated by the NSA.
-
@ByTortweet Certainly the US will appear to be major hypocrites the next time they advocate for a multistakeholder model

@ByTortweet The gov't bureaucracy is large, schizoid & contradictory. One hand doesn't know what the others are doing, & doesn't care.

♻ @ByTortweet @bobjonkman it would almost be laughable if it wasn't so disturbing.

via @netfreedom: ♻ @ciranews In his second post about Internet surveillance, @CIRA001 asks "where’s the outrage?" http://blog.cira.ca/2013/08/nsa-internet-surveillance-wheres-the-outrage/ #NSA #Cdntech !cdnpoli
