   Yes please. Try to make GNUsocial as !autonomous as possible. The fewer dependencies on external services, the better. ♻ mmn: Geonames and Gravatar plugins, should they be disabled by default for privacy reasons in #gnusocial ?

     @bobjonkman @mmn I'd say have the support for such things (via plugin), but - if enabled - make it an individual user choice whether or not to use them (and make clear that e.g. gravatar may 'reveal' your email address)
