   it's hard to keep up these days - there was a whole bunch (275) updates for Debian just before I went to bed - now there are 40 more! #jessie

     @mk GIMP remains at 2.8.something (only changes in the "something"); as I remember, the 16-bit capability was slated for 2.10 - or do I misremember? hmmm

     @mk oh nice, the updates include the latest ExifTool (9.70-1 to 9.72-1) - that means I should be able to get it on Dennis (#Mint LMDE) as well
