Let us talk over #Freenet, so I can speak freely again: http://draketo.de/english/freenet/connect-speak-freely

@drak Hmm, for what we live then in free countries where the law gives us the right of free speach ? Or is the western world really not better as some countries which are always the bad ones ?
-
We’re not *yet* hunted down for what we write: The data they have about us isn’t *used* in most cases. Will it stay that way?
-
@drak Try it out and write what you really think about Merkel and Obama. If you see the virginia farm boy's simple say ... shit happened.
-
I’m pretty sure they will, because there are already people who do that online, and they are still active.
-
@drak Don't know, they should do what they like, I do the same and don't care about politics, the USA and the EU.
-
@nawi: That’s a dangerous thing with politics: You can ignore politics, but politics will not ignore you.
-
@nawi: The effect is that being “unpolitical” means being political without realizing it. You decide to let others decide for you
-
@drak How, what should politics do against me ?
-
@drak Why should I be political if I am unpolitical ? Yes, others decide instead of me, why should I waste time on thing I can't change ? It is not important who makes the law .... the red, the black, the blue, the green and so on ... all are in t…

@nawi @drak "If Ludwig does not occupy himself with politics, this is not saying that politics does not occupy itself with Ludwig." - Leon Trotsky

Because if you are “unpolitical”, you choose to let others change society. Saying “I can’t change politics” is political - that’s what media wants you to think. Remember LeGuin: “Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings.” All we have is the result of battles
-
Politics control a lot of power. If you don’t care about that, others will use that power against you. Even though your ancestors died to give you some degree of control about that power.
-
@drak The thing is, that I am also not interested on the society / media here. The world as it is is on a selfdestruct course ... let's see what happened.
-
@nawi: As long as you then never complain about what happens to you, that’s your stance. But you complain, so it’s inconsistent.
-
@drak No, I don't complain because it runs good. Some sarcasm helps ...
-
sarcasm is veiled complaining.
-
@drak Maybe, maybe it is a expression how stupid the world is ...
-
that’s complaining, too ☺ — being unpolitical means letting the ones who make the world more stupid (for you) decide how your state wields your power.
-
@drak I see it pragmatic, if I don't like the state I simple move to another.
-
@nawi: What happens when there are no states left which you like? (or none which allow you to enter)
clacke gefällt das. -
@drak That will not happen.
-
@nawi: if you truly believe that, then compared with me you’re an optimist ☺ (remember that broken states can break other states)
-
@drak No simple pragmatic, if I like a state I have to accept it as it is ... I am a guest thete. Like which states ?
-
@nawi: You aren’t a guest in a state: In a democracy the state exists to serve you and all other citizens. If it does not, that’s corruption
-
@drak Let's say I go to the USA (what I never will do) then I am a guest there. Which broken states you mean ?
-
@nawi: Do I really have to name broken states? There are plenty of them…
-
Sure, because broken depends on the point of view.
-
@nawi: As you can guess from my initial dent, leading the discussion in this detail isn’t something I’ll do in public.
-
@drak Are you complaining the missing freedom in the EU ? Conclusion : we are free people, we live in free countries, we have the right (by law) to speak free but if we do it, then we loose our human rights. So it is wasted time to spent time for …
-
@nawi: What you see as your job is your decision. I see it as my responsibility to help preserve and improve our democracy. Not my only responsibility and not the my biggest immediate task, but part of my responsibility towards society and my own children.
