   I thought Open Core was generally unusable (or at least very limited) without proprietary addons. The way !ownCloud is presented the Enterprise Edition is a separate product from the Community Edition, more like RHEL and Fedora than like MySQL

     @bobjonkman @navigium That’s also my impression of opencore; different from both #ownCloud and #MySQL (which is extremely useful even without buying the proprietary license).

     @bobjonkman "open core" doesn't have a precise definition, but evilness/usefulness varies widely with proprietary relicensing.

     @bobjonkman it's a spectrum with proprietary relicensing, e.g. ownCloud CE is very useful as FLOSS, SugarCRM CE seems increasingly crippled
