   @nds @eric In the old days, there were plenty of spammers trying to use #Identica to launch their sites’ popularity or promote some product or service. I don’t think our current network has any sites so highly rated by search engines that it makes sense for such activities.

     I get users who sign up, set up their profile with spamming propaganda, and don’t dent.

     Even though none of our sites is individually highly rated, with Federation those links could show up on *many* sites, so that will increase the Googlejuice.

     @bobjonkman You may be right. Google seems to like GNUsocial. When I research on some topic on the web Google often offers GNUsocial posts.
