     @mcscx @dragnucs @zebra @mathaba@quitter.no There is a plugin to enable this. Site admins can decide whether to follow #Twitter's lead on this (on Twitter, links open in new tabs so users' social streams remain open).

     Or maybe I should say they used to. I've been using #TTYtter or #Choqok for #Twitter, rather than the web, so I'm not really sure how it behaves these days.

     @lnxw48 I know people who will never learn how tabs & middle click work. When I tell them they'll shrug & carry on.They should better learn.

     @mcscx All I was saying is that we don't need it built into the GS software, since site admins can already choose to enable it if they and the site's members wish.
