#DigitalOcean NYC region was inaccessible from some #Verizon addresses. They've made some routing changes as a temporary fix. Verizon and #Telia are working on a more permanent fix. #VPS #Cloud

Not sure whether it is a #DigitalOcean problem or #E14N problem, but Evan's hosted #PumpIO servers seem to be having rotating outages the past day or two.

Oh, that's interesting. I did not know that #DigitalOcean supported #IPv6 yet. Discovered that family's DO #VPS has a global IPv6 address.

@gregoriosw @theru Maybe there’s a difference then. I’m using #MariaDB 10.0 on #Debian and #Ubuntu VMs. Never a problem on multiple #OpenVZ VMs. (but occasional upgrade issues on #DigitalOcean)

@lnxw37 Yes I was very impressed by the documentation on #DigitalOcean . #Linode looks a little too expensive to me. Going for #Linode means shutting down all the other shared hosting accounts I have and learning how to run normal websites on a VPS (in addition to #StatusNet) . I am reluctant to do this at the moment.
