I'm only partway through the now-120+ list, but they seem to all be unique #IPv4 addresses. Most likely compromised #Windows users in various countries, lots of #DSL connections. Can you say #botnet #spam? @#bot

@windigo @nybill Hint: #Audacity is also available for #Windows. I haven't done much with it (on any OS), but I've heard it is widely used for #audiocasts.

@mk Possibly. I know I’ve seen sequences of clicks scripted in the #Windows world, as long as application being clicked puts things in the same place each time. Maybe the !tcltk #expect application could do that. (I’ve been wanting an excuse to explore Expect.)

@nawi As for #FreeBSD, I used it server-side about 10-12 years back. I loved it. Seemed to be more well thought out than any other OS I’ve used. But when I got hired by $EMPLOYER, #Windows is what we use, so that’s where most of my time goes.

Oddly, there isn’t really a tradition of verifying the integrity of downloads in the #Windows world. Makes no sense why not, but even other #TechTeam members say “it came from Microsoft’s site so I trust it”
