First surprise: the free laptop bag they promised turns out to be NOT the blue-and-orange one pictured on the order (I detest blue and planned to sell it on Marktplaats), but a chique black one with purple trim (a perfect match with much of my clothing. :D --- Second surprise: somehow the bluetooth adapter isn't recognized (although supposedly this m,odel has been supported in a kernel from last year); live ISOs of both Fedora and Ubuntu (with even newer kernels) don't find the bluetooth adapter (Ubuntu handles it a bit neater). Curiously, lshw (not available in Fedora) does seem to find it. Hmmm. --- Third surprise was a misunderstanding: I thought the machine would have Gigabit LAN - turns out to be Gigabit WLAN (Wifi). But I can use a USB 3.0 type C to Ethernet converter ... now seacrhing for a good deal on that; one from HP for €22.50 seems a good choice.
