!grrr I removed the DVD when the installer said it needed to reboot (it didn't warn me to *not* remove it) with the result I ended up with two entirely empty panels and 'add to panel' options not including what's in the default set up. So I'm re-installing now. *sigh* - I already had a headache before that, so maybe installing Ubuntu at that point wasn't an optimal choice. :( #learning
