@mcscx I've always connected successfully my old phone, both to Windows and Linux, and teh new phone connects to Windows, too. It just stopped working on Linux since (I think since) I edited my fstab to make mounting (other) external USB drives easier. :( I'm sure I've misunderstood something doing that (though it works flawlessly for three external HDs) - as if dynamic connecting/mounting is now disabled
