Reddit promises "Complete technical invalidation of Rich Hickey's 'Maybe Not' talk", then links to Lexi Lambda's excellent but 99% unrelated post on how statically typed systems are not inherently worse at modeling open systems. 🙂

It's one of my favorite posts on the internet, and you should read it, but it's about how stating your assumptions doesn't fence you in, as your assumptions are already there in your code anyway.

Hickey's talk is about, ok, now that we're describing our assumptions, what's the best way to describe them?
