Excuse my random complaints, but why the fuck is this being reported on Github? Shouldn’t this be on git-scm.com? If I were Linus, I’d have a serious fucking problem with people holding so much of a mental monopoly on my software that they end up reporting ‘official’ things it before I do. Yes, they’re free to let people know, but where is the OFFICIAL source and not this oh-we’re-so-awesome-for-telling-you-this bullshit? Or does Linus even care that they’re silently “taking over” Git to the extent that people essentially think Git = GitHub? Fucking hell. He really needs to start giving a shit already. It’s too fucked and greedy that they’re capitalizing on much more than just the hosting aspect.
