What about the *billions* of people who would have starved to death without it? I'd say that far outweighs the comparatively minor problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Certainly, technology/ invention/ innovation is not without negative effects, but the arguments I'm seeing here far overstate the negatives and far understate the positives. The motives and actions of those who produce and use them have a big impact on how they affect people. We should be trying to rewrite laws and policies such that technologies benefit people and the planet in general.
