@manuel I'm running my own instance of #gnusocial which means I pretty much see only partial conversations: people I follow replying to totally unknown messages... clicking on the notice "expands" the notice to nothing, i.e. I can't see what the user is replying to unless I go see the original notice on the user's node. AFAICT, the bigger the node you're on, the more you see of a conversation (because the node size increases the chances that someone on the node subscribes to the people in the conversation). This makes running your own node rather annoying at the moment.
