@benfell I am considering #FreeBSD or #NetBSD instead of #Fedora on the desktop machine, but that's mostly because I've not run a BSD in over a decade.

#systemd's rapid adoption among distros is concerning, but I consider that a distro-governance issue, not necessarily a systemd issue.
