OK, I've finally worked out how the complex ssh - ssh-agent - ssh-add works, enough to write it up, which I've now done. Lots of pages hint at things, very few actually explain clearly what happens. Phew. Now, some grocery shopping first, and then I'll actually add a passphrase to one of my identities, and see if it all works as I now understand it should. :) #hal #ssh #ssh-agent #ssh-add
