The WiFi key thing is new, but most of the rest is very likely to have been going on (without disclosure) for years. I cannot fool myself into believing that a large organization that has an information-collection tool like WGA/OGA installed on every #Windows machine does not already use it to gather passwords, physical and network locations, installed applications and usage patterns, and other information.
I do not believe this is as much of a change as people believe it to be.
