@eric my 1st computer was a Sinclair Spectrum, in 1983. That's 31 years ago... spooky! And my !Amiga 500 will turn 25 this year.

@mcscx I still have an Amiga 800XL stashed away somewhere - with a tape drive(!) and an Assembler ROM module :-)

@drak The 80s was an exciting era in computing. 8 bit computers were nerdy products. In the 90s Microsoft made computers boring.

You're talking about Atari, not Amiga 800XL:) The Amiga was another generation of computers.You could use TCP/IP with it, Telnet,FTP, NFS...

You can download MP3 tape-software for the Sinclair Spectrum today, probably for the ZX81,too. I've got a ZX81 too,bought it on aflee market

You can also transfer files via WIFI by using GhostCommander + FTP or Samba plugin. I've never been using USB with my androids.

@mcscx I've always connected successfully my old phone, both to Windows and Linux, and teh new phone connects to Windows, too. It just stopped working on Linux since (I think since) I edited my fstab to make mounting (other) external …

if it's only an automount problem you should still be able to mount manually. Is your android volume listed when you do fdisk -l ?
