     @nawi @mcscx Since application maintainers have the option and supporting other init systems is extra work, I expect those who do not stick with systemd will have to switch distros. Maybe Devuan will have released something by then.

     @nawi Debian 7 is already future, not yet released as "stable". So this should be safe for some years. But I'll leave !Debian if necessary.

     @mcscx I think you are talking about Debian 8 (#jessie). Debian 7 is current stable. There is also the LTS project, too.
