Another random outage. This one lasted about an hour. Our hosting company, #Crissic / #Quadranet isn't providing a great for its lower-price customers' last months with them.

Looks like #Crissic / #Quadranet had a little downtime in #Florida this afternoon. All !fnetworks and !osp servers were offline for at least 30 minutes. Starting to bother me that they don't notify customers about such outages.

Uptime: 52 hours. I guess #Crissic / #QuadraNet finally fixed the issue with nodes hosted on JAX07.

I think #Crissic / #QuadraNet fixed the problem with VMs hosted on JAX07 overnight. Uptime looks good here.

Starting to suspect that JAX07 needs some hardware maintenance. Driving around hot #SoFlo for several hours may have hastened some component's failure. Hopefully, #Crissic / #QuadraNet has a few spare parts around (or even better, a pre-configured server box ready to take over)

#Crissic, the #VPS host that hosts !fnetworks and !osp, has been acquired by #QuadraNet. I've heard the name, but know nothing more about them.

That was pretty nasty downtime. Apparently about 70 minutes for all !fnetworks and !osp sites. Servers themselves seem to have been fine, but #Crissic may have had some network issue in #Jacksonville again. Maybe the #karaböcek chewed through the fiber optics or something.

@vinilox @tcit #Linode and #DigitalOcean have both been good. #ChicagoVPS and #Crissic started out poor but got better. Avoid #123Systems.

I also have hosting accounts with #ChicagoVPS and #Crissic. Both have improved markedly over time. Depending on your intended use (read each site's TOS and AUP), they might have something that fits your needs and budget.
