As I switched to #ghost, I don't have native comment system on my blog anymore. I tested #disqus because it was the easiest way to deal with my #wordpress comments, but it was hurting my free software enthusiasm. I tested some selfhosted commenting scripts (talkatv and others), and none of them appealed me. Therefore I'm discontinuing the comments on my blog for a while until I find a good system to use.

I currently use #disqus because I was using it before I migrated my blog to #octopress . But there are static (and free ) comment systems that work fine with octopress. [such as this one https://github.com/kaimi/octopress-static-comments ]
