Urgh! Why? Why is the #Gnumeric site http://url.federati.net/NNl77 #JavaScrippled?
-
Not a word about the abysmal "designs" that aren't accessible, or insecure, or #Javascrippled http://speckyboy.com/2015/09/03/what-has-hap

A framework that does not work at all without #JavaScript is simply broken. I've recently found that many such #Javascrippled sites work fine on my mobile (also JS-disabled) browser, so it isn't like it can't be done.
-
#Javascrippled web pages (dependent on Javascript) don't work in secure browsers, don't work with accessibility devices, but most importantly, don't get indexed by search engines. It's that third point that usually convinces clients to avoid #Javascript dependencies.
-
#javascrippled :-(
-
If you have a #Javascript web form I'm unlikely to ever use it. #Javascrippled
-
@daw #TIL: add "?_escaped_fragment_=" to end of a #JavaScrippled site to see "SEO friendly" version of the site.
-
@windigo if you add ‘home.html’ to the end, the SF site works without #JavaScript. I don’t know what they were thinking, beyond trying to get people to open the gates for JS to forward them to the next page. Maybe some of their ads require it? #JavaScrippled
-
@hannes2peer I grumbled about another site’s #JS dependency a few minutes ago. When I hit CTRL+U to view source, I could see tracking scripts. #JavaScrippled
-
@hannes2peer Thanks for explaining. In the case of #Qvitter, #JavaScript dependency is not about data-mining, but in the more common case, that is exactly what it is about. #JavaScrippled
-
@daw I might be more interested if I could see what the site does without enabling #JavaScript first. In almost all cases, a #JavaScrippled site signals malicious intent (e.g., surreptitious user tracking on that site and others).
-
@R51 Also, I see that https://hackerone.com is completely #Javascrippled; nothing on the page except an error message, not even a logo
-
@maliktunga I completely disagree about the Qvitter UI — I find it completely unusable, even on a browser (Midori) with Javascript completely enabled that I can use perfectly well on other #Javascrippled sites. As a !FreeSoftware project, I …
-
@jonkulp Yes, I noticed that your books was #Javascrippled.
-
I used Midori only for #Javascrippled pages that won't load in IceWeasel with all the security plugins. My usage was low, and use-case wasn't typical. For the last few weeks I've been using another Webkit based browser, dwb http://portix.bitbuc…
-
But old.quitter.se is no longer available to people not logged in. I can no longer see a thing on the quitter UI - #Javascrippled

Why is Progressive Enhancement so unpopular? Because forcing you to keep wide open to #JavaScript makes it easier to serve ads and do tracking. #JavaScrippled sites stink.
