Phone has been dinging about once per hour for #NWS / #NOAA severe #t-storm warnings for #Kansas, from Pittsburg to the KC Metro. Possible hail damage to vehicles.

@zoowar @daw With all the alert SMSs I was getting from #NOAA / #NWS, I'm surprised that #Kansas and #Missouri did not have any tornadoes in the past couple of days. #sonOne's WeatherAlert radio must have been going crazy.

#NOAA #NWS has issued severe #t-storm watches for SE #Kansas (3 counties), Central & SW #Missouri (30 counties) until 22:00 CDT. Includes long stretches of US-54 and I-44. A "watch", I believe, means severe weather is possible, but not yet observed. Be safe out there.

According to alert just sent by #NWS, the Winter Weather Advisory for Jefferson City (Cole County & Calloway County) / Columbia / Mexico / Fulton #MO is canceled. The storm is fizzling out three hours earlier than expected.

#NWS had issued an advisory about 3 to 6 inches of snow at elevations above 7,500 feet in !SoCal #San_Bernardino and #Riverside counties this afternoon and overnight. That advisory has been cancelled because no snow has fallen below 8,500 feet.
