Seeing the conversation between @mmn and @moshpirit and @identlud revives an old thought: how easy would it be to implement tagging as metadata (like hashtags, except not part of the content of posts)? Would we need to extend #OStatus to carry them across instances?

@aroque I believe that many of Evan's former customers for #StatusNet Inc used "private" settings. For a while, #OStatus #federation was not even activated by default in !SN. However, I think any !Twitter style site on the public Internet is not ever really private.

@nawi This is a great time. The network of !gnusocial / !sn / #rstatus / other #ostatus servers needs more instances in more countries, IMO.

@vegos btw, if you have #python and #pyqt experience - we can deal with it ;) I'm writing #qtdenter, a client for #ostatus services, and I started a complete rewrite of codebase. I want to make it queue-driven plugin-powered multiprotocol client. Interested? ;)

@erkanyilmaz well, #identicurse is still my favorite client and StatusNet ain't dead yet! (but my python skills are effectively non-existent...) /cc @reality @psquid - and yes, it might actualy be a SN bug, too. I don't have any f*** idea.
