#DigitalOcean responds: "Hi there,

We do not store the card number, expiration date, or the CVV code locally."

They go on to explain that info gets sent directly to payment processor, with only bank name and a hashed ID (from the processor) being stored by D.O.

I suspect that #DigitalOcean is part of why the E14N #Pump.io servers are down so often.

@benfell Incidentally, I narrowly chose #DigitalOcean over Iceland based #GreenQloud. I liked what GQ offered, but no one could match DO's pricing. GQ has since shut most of their direct hosting business, instead concentrating on supplying cloud technology to other hosters.

@benfell I should have been more clear. #DigitalOcean is a #VPS ("cloud VPS" is the way they used to describe it) service.

#DigitalOcean is migrating one of our family's "droplets" to new hardware in a few days as part of their cloud upgrades. If I had a little bit more energy to spare, they'd never get the chance ... I'd gladly move it to #Linode.

That troublesome #DigitalOcean droplet is doing worse than before, even with doubling the size.

@nybill I had to double the RAM on #DigitalOcean to keep #MySQL / #MariaDB from crashing and allow software updates to complete. Considering moving both droplets to a single #Linode (where I've never had that problem).

Yes, #DigitalOcean, team accounts are a great idea that you should have implemented years ago. But filling my inbox with promotional messages is not acceptable. #Opt_In

@vinilox @tcit #Linode and #DigitalOcean have both been good. #ChicagoVPS and #Crissic started out poor but got better. Avoid #123Systems.
