#Identica was down for a few hours the day that #Microcast went down. I am not sure what day each instance failed, but multiple other E14N #Pump.io instances (including 1realtime, urmf, hotpump) currently have or recently had multi-day outages.

@thrrgilag @mcnalu He launched somewhere between 10-20 #pump.io instances plus a few related services to jump-start the network. There are some others that host servers (individual or public), but most users are probably still on #identi.ca.

@mmn @mcscx I have not looked for such a plugin, but I do remember when spammers started setting up their own instances and @ mentioning users of hosted SN instances (including #Identica). It did not last long, so I'm sure the plugin exists.
