@mk VisualWorks and ObjectStudio played a part in bringing me here. Former Cincom Smalltalk Product Evangelist James Robertson was testing !Twitter for marketing purposes, so I joined and loved it. Which led to my joining similar networks including #Identi.ca.

Looking through my mcast stream, the last incoming from #Identica was over 11 hours ago. Evan is in SF right now, so no telling when he'll get a chance to look at it (I'm assuming lots of people have already notified him).

Hmmm. #Identica seems to be barely functioning right now. I would guess that some process is stuck. Once the process is restarted, everything should start working again. (sent to @dougsportazine this time)

I did meet Mohan (who was active on #Identica before the #bifurcation), who used to live around 60 miles from me. I met him after he married and moved to #Missouri.

All users on smaller nodes experience this. It is less visible on larger nodes (otherwise, it would have been fixed when 99% of people used #Identica and @Evan's company hosted almost all SN instances).

@sergiodj I think we're building something bigger and better than #Identica ever was, even in the !StatusNet days. More people hosting instances, more distribution of users across instances, more understanding of things like #federation (…
