Is that because each site lacks a public stream? I understand what Evan was trying to do. People seemed to think that the #Identi.ca public stream was all that mattered of the #StatusNet network. He was trying to have a true public stream…

Remember the #fail-whale days of !Twitter, when everyone would go to other socnets to discuss Twitter being down? That's what we're experiencing, but for the twelve(!) E14N-hosted #PumpIO servers.

@shevek I think #LetsEncrypt is peripheral to the other things Evan is dealing with. I don't think #LECert will change his mind about abandoning #Pump.IO development and his hosting of most of its network.

That's a good question. Let's see whether someone has an answer. Does anyone know of a public #Pump.IO server that is not hosted by E14N? RP @daw well, is there one not hosted by Evan that I could use?

@daw Did you see what @JPope wrote when he shut his pumps down? It seems that all of Evan's #pump.io servers (and related services like pump2<whatever>) experience these kinds of multi-day outages.
