@daw Last I knew, #Skype depended on #PulseAudio. Maybe you can restart PA and see whether Goog calling works again. (Is this something built into Gmail webmail or something different?)

@daw Back when I would still use #Skype (2006-2009), it was a POS. Most of the time, I wound up using Google Talk after several minutes of struggling with Skype. (The one thing Skype shined at was piercing firewalls … still never found anything comparable.)

After some thinking and observing I decided to shut down #skype transport, because I can't predict which port it will use. I would not disable my firewall just for one shitty piece of software.
