Using REPL with OO lang e.g. Ruby can be hard to redefine a method. However, this issue seems to be solved since 1983 or before. #smalltalk

@taknamay Yes, I've always had a liking for #Smalltalk during the very short time periods I've gotten to play around with it. I really ought to set aside some time to try and learn it well enough to do something useful.

@gomerx @kat I must admit that #Ruby reminds me very much of those #Perl classes in college. But it does seem to have a little bit of #Python and #Smalltalk influence in it too.

@mk I've done a little exploration of #Squeak, #Pharo, #GNU, #VisualWorks versions of #Smalltalk. I like them all, though VW's GUI needed updating last time I used it.
