Well, it appears that you can disable auto-answering by starting empathy manually! If you leave it to the desktop, it keeps auto-answering calls. cc @andresinmp #trisquel #gnome3

I just stumbled upon a scary privacy issue in the #gnome3 version provided with #trisquel . It has instant messaging and calling integrated with the desktop. And it automatically answers voice calls! There is no way to disable this! #horror

lol no I didn't add any PPA :D I am just uncomfortable with those non-free repos. #trisquel just works out of the box without adding/removing any software sources. And Debian didn't seem to have scim (which I always depend on when I type Sinhala - my mother language) in their repositories.

@andresinmp I got it installed even though I am more comfortable with #KDE. it's amazing how far #trisquel has come. And it's very good looking too @xrevan86

after 5 days I moved back to #trisquel :) I don't think I'm missing much with GIMP 2.6. Only big thing I noticed about 2.8 is the single window mode. cc @xrevan86

software provided with #trisquel 6 (LTS) are older than #debian 7.2 It must be the same with Ubuntu LTS. I am still stuck with GIMP 2.6 :-/ Debian has 2.8

I’ve been running KDE (#triskel) on #trisquel for the past few weeks. This is my first time on KDE since I ditched Kubuntu 6.06. While everyone was busy debating Gnome shell, MATE and Cinnamon, #KDE has evolved into the best desktop imo. What a pleasant surprise! It looks so complete and stable. @mk I use #OggConvert on my #Trisquel laptop. So it runs without any nonfree codecs, I’m sure. I just tested it converting a .flv file. It works.
